Megan Markle’s Chicken Adobo by DICE



 Ingredients

  • 500gm Cleaned chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Crushed garlic
  • 1 Medium finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • ½ lemon (optional)
  • Salt to taste
Preparation
1. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the chicken pieces, and cook until golden brown.

2. Remove the chicken and add the onions and garlic. Sauté until translucent and slightly brown.

3. Add the remaining ingredients and lastly, the chicken. Bring the mixture to a boil.

4. Reduce the heat, cover the pan and allow the dish to simmer for around 30- 40 minutes or until the chicken is tender and almost falls off the bone.

5. Serve with jasmine rice!

Tip: This recipe was taken from an excerpt in Hello! Magazine and tailored to our tastes. We used thighs because its always soft and a little fatty.
